Fast Catamaran Open Meeting 2025
Event Details
We are pleased to anounce that over the weekend of 9th and 10th August 2025 we will be running a Fast Cat Open Meet along side the last 2 days of the Shearwater National Champs.
Hosted by Minnis Bay Sailing Club, this open meet promises two days of racing for any cat with a PY <810 or SCHRS <1231 (Dart 18 or faster) with a fun packed Saturday night.
Schedule (to be confirmed)
- August 8: Arrival and welcome evening with bar open from 6pm plus fish & chips (pre-order separately) and disco
- August 9: Open meet races 1, 2 & 3. Chilli + games night
- August 10: Open meet races 4, 5 & 6. Prize giving

Shearwater National Championships 2025
Event Details
Join us for the prestigious Shearwater National Championships from August 7-10, 2025. This exciting event brings together top sailors from across the country to compete in these championships.
Hosted by Minnis Bay Sailing Club, this championship promises four days of intense racing, camaraderie, and memorable experiences both on and off the water.
Schedule (to be confirmed)
- August 6: Arrival and welcome evening with bar open from 6pm
- August 7: Registration, Practice race and Championship races 1 & 2. BBQ night
- August 8: Championship races 3 & 4 plus crew's race. Shearwater AGM followed by fish & chips and disco
- August 9: Championship races 5, 6 & 7. Chilli + games night
- August 10: Championship races 8, 9 & 10. Prize giving and awards dinner
